APEAL - the Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging - is a federation of four multinational producers of steel for packaging in Europe, founded in 1986 and now representing some 90% of the total European production of steel for packaging.

The PDA (Pan-European Brand Design Association) was formed in the early 1990s, when a number of Europe's leading designers identified a deeply-felt need for a new, European forum. They wanted to share information, ideas and opinions - however controversial - about packaging, identity, literature, point-of-purchase, electronic media. They wanted to meet other design professionals, not as competitors, but as colleagues and friends. And it worked. From that simple concept, the PDA has grown steadily into the pan-European force for design that it is today.

  National Technical Centre for Vegetable Conserves
This is a non-profit-making body set up by companies in the vegetable conserves industry. Its main purpose is to contribute to the development and innovation of food and agriculture industry companies by providing technical support to enable them to improve their quality and become more competitive within the current market system.
  National Technology Centre for Conserves
Its origins lie in the AICV (Association for Research in the Vegetable Conserves Industry), which was founded in 1962. With the start-up of the European STRIDE programme in 1990 the Institute for Infrastructure of the region of Murcia undertook to build and equip a technology centre to provide basic infrastructure for technological assistance to food and agriculture companies.
  Stazione Sperimentale per l'Industria delle Conserve Alimentari
This is a technical assistance and research institute with its own legal personality and administrative autonomy. It is funded mainly by contributions from Aziende Conserviere Italiane under the control and guardianship of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Crafts, founded in Parma in 1923.
